Suzanne Volkman works out of Houston's Heights as a Texas REALTOR® with The Moore Real Estate Group — a boutique brokerage on West 19th Street run by Chris Moore. Her path into real estate ran through interior design first: a University of Southern Mississippi Interior Design degree, then more than a decade selling and specifying commercial furniture, and roughly ten years as an independent manufacturer's rep in Houston's design trade.

The turn toward healthy homes was personal. After her family lived through a whole-home mold remediation and renovation project, Suzanne came out of it changed — more attuned to what buildings can quietly do to the people inside them, and less willing to walk a client through a house without asking what's behind the paint. She stepped away from the rep firm in 2023, focused on family for a season, and returned to work through real estate in 2025.

She earned her Texas Real Estate license in May 2025 and her Conscious Healthy Home Certified Realtor® credential in September 2025, through Cristina Greenfield's Texas-approved program. Suzanne is fifteen months in and honest about it — she's newer to the license than she is to Houston homes, and she says so.

What she brings that most first-year agents don't is a designer's eye. Nearly two decades of specifying materials, cabinetry, HVAC integration, lighting, and finishes for Houston commercial interiors translates directly into how she walks a house. She notices the ventilation return that isn't cutting it, the finish that's going to off-gas for a year, the closet plumbing wall that's the reason a bathroom keeps growing mold.

Her service area is the Inner Loop she has actually lived in — Rice Military, Spring Branch, Garden Oaks, Oak Forest, and the Heights — twelve years of Houston homeowner-ing across four neighborhoods, plus a personal history of leasing, buying, selling, renovating, and managing investment properties alongside her husband.

Her practice runs on personalized guidance rather than volume, and on the belief that a healthy home is a design problem before it is a remediation problem.
