Brent and Melissa Little founded Pinehaven Healthy Homes in McCall, Idaho to provide an alternative to the common failures and health risks found in modern homes. Brent brings decades of building experience from LEED-certified and luxury custom homes to renovations/remodels. Services include all systems of building including mass wall systems (Faswall, ICF, rammed earth, etc.) to regional and remote consulting.
Brent worked in the trades from the age of 17, studied Construction Systems Management and building science at Ohio State University, and built a successful construction business.
Then mold illness entered his family's life, and it changed how he saw everything.
He discovered that even the 'above and beyond' practices in luxury custom and LEED-certified homes was still contributing to the very problems making them sick. So, Brent and Melissa founded Pinehaven Healthy Homes, providing building, design, and consulting on homes that actively support human health. They serve clients locally in McCall, ID and remotely across the country from the average health conscience person to people living with CIRS, MCS, and MCAS.
Pinehaven combines hands-on construction expertise with building biology principles to serve some of the most underserved clients in the healthy home space: people managing mold illness, CIRS, MCS, and MCAS who need a builder who understands the difference between conventional 'green' and genuinely non-toxic.

Pinehaven isn't a conventional builder who added a 'healthy home' page to their website. It's a company born from personal illness, rebuilt from the ground up around building biology principles with the construction expertise to actually execute building a truly healthy home.
Built for health minded people to others dealing with chronic illness
We work with all people including clients managing Chronic Inflammatory Response Syndrome, Multiple Chemical Sensitivity, and Mast Cell Activation Syndrome — the population for whom 'low-VOC' isn't close to good enough. We understand the difference between marketing claims and genuine material safety.
Mold Illness Origin Story
Pinehaven exists because mold illness entered Brent and Melissa's lives and demanded they rebuild their understanding of construction entirely. This isn't a wellness add-on: it is the founding reason for the company.
