Kristin Kilmer is an award-winning interior architectural designer and certified wellness practitioner based in Los Angeles, with 20+ years transforming residences into restorative environments. The only interior designer to be featured at the TED Conference, she blends elemental design, non-toxic material sourcing, and energy medicine into a practice that was wellness-first long before the industry caught up.
Kristin Kilmer designs homes that heal. With over two decades of practice rooted in architectural preservation, elemental design, and holistic wellness, she creates spaces that are as physiologically supportive as they are beautiful.
Her path began restoring iconic mid-century homes by Schindler, Lautner, and Kappe; work that taught her how great architecture serves the body and spirit, not just the eye. When her own health journey through Lyme disease and mold toxicity deepened her understanding of how buildings affect the body, she fused her design practice with training in energy medicine, medical intuition, and non-toxic material science. Today, every project begins with the question: how does this space make you feel?
Kristin Kilmer brings a rare combination of high-end architectural preservation, wellness science, and intuitive practice to every project — creating spaces where beauty, health, and spiritual well-being are inseparable.

Elemental Design Pillars (Earth, Air, Fire, Water, Metal)
Kristin doesn't separate aesthetics from wellness, they're the same discipline. Her 'Trinity' framework integrates interior architecture, wellness science, and conscious living into a unified design practice, creating environments where beauty and health are inseparable.
First Interior Designer Featured at TED
Designed the only LEED Platinum-certified prefab home for the TED Conference — a modular, sustainable home later flat-packed, resold, and redesigned for a second client. A groundbreaking project in sustainable living that no other designer has replicated.
6+ Landmark Mid-Century Restorations
Restored and designed interiors for some of LA's most architecturally significant homes — including works by R.M. Schindler, John Lautner, and Ray Kappe. Tim Street Porter called her interpretations the best he's ever seen.
Wellness Before It Was an Industry
Non-toxic materials, environmental sensitivity, and energetic awareness were central to Kristin's practice long before they became industry standards. Her own recovery from Lyme disease and mold toxicity gave her firsthand knowledge of how buildings affect the body.
Five-Element Spatial Design
Draws from Eastern and Western elemental traditions — Earth, Air, Fire, Water, Metal — to create spaces with intentional energetic balance. Every material, color, and spatial decision is informed by how it affects the occupant's nervous system and vitality.
Intuitive + Analytical Design Process
Trained in energy medicine, medical intuition, and clairvoyance alongside rigorous architectural practice. Kristin reads both the space and the client — revealing the vision they didn't know they had.
