Awakening Spaces is a healthy construction consulting firm founded by Ashley Spanovich, a triple-certified Building Biologist, Passive House Tradesperson, and NCIDQ-licensed interior designer based in Denver. After her own health was derailed by mold and environmental toxins mid-career, Ashley built a practice dedicated to helping homeowners construct and renovate spaces that reduce exposure to mold, chemicals, and EMFs — nationwide.
About
Ashley Spanovich spent thirteen years as a licensed interior designer before her own health crisis revealed what was hiding in her walls. After testing positive for mycotoxins and discovering her environments had been making her sick, she retrained in building biology and launched Awakening Spaces in 2019.
Today she works as an Owner's Representative — embedded in your project team alongside architects, contractors, and engineers — ensuring every decision from foundation to finish supports your health. She's one of a rare handful of professionals who holds certifications in Building Biology (BBEC, EMRS), Passive House (CPHT), and interior design (NCIDQ) simultaneously.
