About
Scott Randall started 7 Pines in 2017 with a simple conviction: homes should be built to last, not just built to sell. After moving to Tampa from East Texas with his wife, he fell into residential construction by way of renovation — buying condemned and dilapidated homes and bringing them back to life. That experience of tearing homes apart taught him exactly how and why they fail.
The more he learned, the deeper he went. Today, Scott spends as much time studying building science as he does actually building. He holds four Florida state licenses — building contractor, residential contractor, roofing contractor, and real estate — and every new construction home goes through 3rd-party testing. His Instagram (@tampahomeguide) has become a genuine building science education channel, with reels on air leakage testing, vapor mitigation, and why Florida homes struggle with moisture.
The company name comes from his family ranch in East Texas, where seven pine trees stood at the entrance next to a white picket fence. That ranch was the heart of his family for generations. At 7 Pines, the goal is the same: build homes where families can make great memories — homes that are thoughtful, durable, and built for the long haul.
